"Amazon Clean Filter" (hereinafter "the Extension") is a Chrome extension that adds filters — "Sold by Amazon", "Hide sponsored (ads)", and "Prime only" — to the search results pages of Amazon (amazon.co.jp and amazon.com), blended into the native filter sidebar, and that can automatically apply your chosen conditions to new searches. All processing is completed within your browser, and no data is sent externally.

Data Collection

The developer of the Extension does not collect any of your browsing history, personal information, search content, or usage activity.
There is no server operated by the developer, and your information is never sent to the developer or any third party.
No access analytics, tracking, or advertising is used.

External Communication

The Extension does not send your data to any external server or service; all operations are performed within your device (your browser).

Local Storage

The Extension stores its settings only within your browser. This data is never sent to the developer.

Default filter settings: the default on/off state for whether each of "Sold by Amazon", "Hide sponsored", and "Prime only" is applied automatically
Per-tab temporary state: the state when you manually toggle filters in an individual tab. This is stored temporarily in the browser's session area (a volatile area that is cleared when the tab or browser is closed) and is never sent externally

This data is stored only on your device, and you can delete it at any time from your browser or extension settings.

Permissions

Access to supported Amazon sites: to detect search results pages, display the filter sidebar, hide sponsored items, and apply filter conditions to the URL. It does not record or transmit your browsing content.
storage: to save the above settings within your browser.

The Extension requests no permissions other than these. It has no permission to access your browsing on other sites, your tabs, or your history.

What the Extension Does

To provide its functionality, the Extension does the following. All of these are completed within your device and do not record or transmit your browsing content.

Saves the default filter settings within your browser
Displays a filter UI, blended into the native sidebar, on Amazon search results pages
Hides sponsored (ad) items in search results
Applies filter conditions to URL parameters to display the page, according to your settings and actions (navigation within Amazon only)

Provision to Third Parties

The developer of the Extension does not provide or sell your data to third parties. The Extension does not collect or transmit your data in the first place.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised in response to feature additions or changes, or changes in applicable laws. If there are significant changes, the "Last updated" date on this page will be updated.
